For my first day, Dale took me to a park near her house. There were a TON of stairs, but it was very beautiful and peaceful. Hard to believe it was in the center of such a bustling city. After the park we walked around a very cool shopping area, went to a modern art museum, and just saw the city. In the evening, the block Dale and Ryan live on, had a little music festival. All the bars/restaurants had live music. I saw The Used Cassettes at one bar. Really great band! The next was a friend of Dale and Ryan. Beautiful voice. It was a fantastic night.
The park was Namsan Park. The shopping area was Insadong.
